The Deathless Woman is a magical film about important events in Roma history, and why they are still relevant today. It was described as a ‘must watch’ at the Ake Dikhea Festival of Romani Film. This summer the film is touring to 7 cities and towns across the UK with introductions, discussions and Romani language workshops.
Come to a free language workshop led by Juice Vamosi and hear the fascinating history of Romani, a language which many are surprised to find is closest to Punjabi or Rajasthani, and learn some words for yourself.
Then at the film screening let the Deathless Woman lead you on a journey through archives and landscapes as she tells the story of what she witnessed during WWII and how this affects Roma people to this day. Introduced by local Roma leaders with a chance to discuss the film with the film’s director, Roz Mortimer, and people from the local community.
